"Historein: A Review of the Past & Other Stories"
The second volume of the journal is devoted to the theme "Heterodoxies:
Construction of Identities and Otherness in medieval and early
modern Europe". This
has been the topic of a seminar in honour of Natalie Zemon-Davis,
held in Hermoupolis (Syros, Greece) on July 20-21, 1998. This
second volume, bringing together medieval, early modern and
modern historians from Greece, USA, Britain, France and Italy,
explores the question of the construction of identities in the
domains of society, ethnicity, religion, cultural contacts,
exchanges and representations, spanning a period starting from
the 8th century and ending in the 19th century.
